FAQ
-
What is CBD?CBD is the most common non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. CBD is produced from hemp, which is defined by any cannabis plant that contains 0.3% or less of THC.
-

-
Does CBD get you high?High on life yes. But ‘stoned’, not at all. CBD is non-psychoactive.
-
What is hemp used for?Hemp is one of the most useful and versatile plants on the planet. Hemp is used to make a variety of commercial and industrial products, from clothing, textiles, food, papers, rope, shoes, bioplastics, insulation, biofuel, and of course, CBD!
-
Whats the difference between full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate?Full spectrum CBD contains other cannabinoids (such as CBC, CBDA, THCA, and CBDV) and terpenes (plant aromas). These cannabinoids work together in unison to create what is known as the Entourage effect. This works like herbal synergy, helping amplify the effects of CBD. CBD isolate is pure CBD, meaning it doesn’t contain any other cannabinoids or terpenes, so there is no Entourage effect. It is generally considered a less effective form of CBD.
-
How is Byron Bud CBD extracted from the hemp plant?Largely considered the best method of extraction, we use CO2 supercritical extraction which uses pressurized carbon dioxide. This method preserves and maintains as much of the terpenes (plant aromas), flavonoids (colour), and other cannabinoids as possible.

How does CBD work?We humans have our very own cannabis-like system naturally in our body, called the Endocannabinoid system (ECS). Our ECS controls some of the most important physical, mental, and emotional functions in the brain and body - think body movement, pain control, immune system function, mental health, sleep, gut function and even brain protection. It’s a lock-and-key system; specific receptors all throughout the body, ready to absorb and use that CBD goodness. Isn’t that wild? Our bodies and CBD are literally made for each other. Plant allies, indeed!
-
Why do you suspend the CBD in MCT oil?CBD is fat-soluble, so it is most effective when taken with saturated fats such as MCT oil. Simply put, MCT allows a larger concentration of CBD to be absorbed into the bloodstream so it can begin acting more quickly. Plus, MCT has its own vast list of health benefits that perfectly compliment our CBD.
